This commercial drainage project focused on upgrading an outdated stormwater management system for a retail warehouse complex in Blacktown. The existing infrastructure was struggling to handle peak rain events, resulting in frequent pooling, erosion, and potential building damage.
After conducting a comprehensive on-site drainage audit, we identified key problem areas—blocked pipes, undersized pits, and inadequate surface flow gradients. Our team began by removing the deteriorated components and regrading the surrounding landscape to improve natural water flow.
We then installed a new high-capacity PVC and concrete pipeline system with custom-designed grated pits to improve surface water capture. The solution also included integrating a silt arrestor to reduce blockages, and using geotextile fabric and aggregate base layers to ensure long-term system stability.
To blend functionality with minimal visual disruption, all components were positioned flush with the existing surface finish, ensuring a clean look that met both compliance and aesthetic requirements.
Despite weather delays, the project was completed safely and efficiently in under one week, exceeding client expectations. The upgrade not only improved flood resilience and drainage performance but also enhanced the overall safety and longevity of the property.
